Clemson Football Head Coach Dabo Swinney says three Clemson players have tested for a banned substance.
Swinney says the three players are star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence, backup offensive lineman Zach Giella and freshman tight end Braden Galloway.
As of now it’s not clear if the three players will play in this Saturday’s College Football Playoff Semifinal between #2 Clemson and #3 Notre Dame at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX.
He also says “B” sample test results will be released for these players and would be available on Wednesday or Thursday. it will determine the players’ eligibility for the game. The “B” samples are secondary tests to weed out false positives.
The head coach says the players had a “sliver” of a substance called Ostarine in their test samples.
