The man who paid Nantes, 19 million dollars for Emiliano Sala to play for Cardiff City, is now offering to pay to return Sala’s body to his home country of Argentina.
Cardiff City team owner Tan Sri Vincent Tan says he’s very sad over this incident, and says Sala would’ve have been very happy and successful at Cardiff City. Tan also added Cardiff City will continue to work with the Air Accidents Investigation Branch, and investigators to find out how the crash happened and to assist Emiliano’s family. Sala’s body was identified on Thursday, after Sala’s body was recovered from the wreckage of the plane, which crashed in the English Channel on January 21st. Sala and pilot David Ibbotson on board. Sala had just signed a contract with Cardiff City FC and was en route to his new team, from Nantes, France, his old team when the accident occurred.
