The man accused of killing the University of Utah student Mackenzie Lueck has officially been charged.
Salt Lake County District Attorney announced charges against Ayoola Ajayi in the death of the 23-year-old.
He also spoke about evidence leading to the charges of aggravated murder, aggravated kidnapping, obstruction of justice, and desecrating a body.
Lueck was last seen early June 17th when she was dropped off at a park in north Salt Lake City.
Police say she met with Ajayi.
Her body was found in a canyon north of salt lake city last Friday.
Prosecutors said the remains had been burned and were found in a shallow grave.
He said Lueck’s arms were bound behind her back with zip ties and that she suffered trauma to her skull.
Ajayi was arrested on June 28th.
