The Gateway City is a state of hysteria. St. Louis fans are rejoicing. For the first time in NHL history, the Blues are Stanley Cup champions. They went into TD Garden and thump the Boston Bruins, winning the series 4 games to 3. This has been truly one of the great sports stories in recent years. Back in November, they fired head coach, Mike Yeo, and brought in Interim Coach Craig Berube. In the beginning of January, they had the worst record in the NHL. From there they came together, turned their season around, and ended a 52 year drought. Some of the Blues players are in still in disbelief, they are the NHL champions. They will always be remembered as the first Stanley Cup champion in franchise history.
