Multiple were taken to the hospital after police say a driver plowed through a crowd in California.
At around 1:48 Sunday morning, police in Fullerton, California responded to reports of pedestrians being struck.
Once on scene, officers found that a Toyota Tacoma pickup had driven onto the sidewalk, hitting nine people.
The pickup ultimately came to a stop after crashing into a tree.
At the time of the collision, hundreds of people were on the sidewalk, in nearby parking lots, and in front of restaurants.
Police say multiple pedestrians became trapped under the pickup and officers quickly began life-saving measures.
Rescue crews ended up taking ten people, ranging in age from 18 to 49 years-old, to area hospitals.
Some had critical and life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the pickup, identified as 22 year-old Christopher Solis of Anaheim, was arrested at the scene.
