It appears trade negotiations between the U.S. and China have stalled.
That’s according to sources briefed on the talks.
CNBC reports indicate the next round of negotiations are in limbo as it’s still unclear what would be negotiated.
Sources say it’s the biggest problem moving forward is China’s unwillingness to revisit issues it originally agreed to.
Despite that, however, china has invited U.S. Representatives to Beijing and officials appear open to the offer.
But CNBC sources say scheduling has not continued since president Trump blocked U.S. companies from using Chinese telecom devices.
The news comes as the U.S. raises tariffs on $200 billion of Chinese goods.
A move that followed failed talks last Friday, which Trump says almost resulted in a deal.
