The White House has dropped a proposal to help reduce prices on prescription drugs.
The plan would have banned the middlemen between insurance companies and pharmacies from keeping profits from discounts on drugs
The Trump administration said those discounts led to companies setting artificially high prices.
Instead, the administration plan would have passed the savings onto consumers.
But, according to the White House, further analysis led the president to withdraw.
However, in a statement, the administration says they will continue to pursue legislation and do what it can to reduce prices.
