The drama over the United Kingdom leaving the European Union has taken another historic turn.
The British parliament approved asking the E.U. For a delay in Brexit for three months, possibly even longer.
The amendment passed by a 210 vote majority.
This means the U.K. Will not be leaving the E.U. On March 29th as originally planned.
Parliament also squashed any plans, at least for now, of a second referendum on leaving the E.U.
It then rejected plan to take control of the Brexit process away from Prime Minister Theresa May.
The government now plans to try and pass mays Brexit plan again next Tuesday.
Her first attempt in getting a divorce agreement passed was soundly rejected.
The U.K. Will now submit a proposal to the E.U. For delay, but that could also be rejected.
