United Airlines is canceling at least 5,000 more flights in the wake of the Boeing 737 Max groundings.
The affected flights are for September and October, which extends the timeline for groundings.
The airline originally only had flights canceled through September 3rd.
As you may remember, the 737 Max was grounded after two of the jets crashed.
Those crashes killed over three hundred people and were blamed on a defective feature.
Recently, Boeing said it needed more time to fix the issue, which is required for a FAA certification.
It’s still unclear when it will be approved.
