Pulitzer Prize-winning author Herman Wouk has died in Palm Springs, California.
You’ll know him from the movies based on his novels.
Including Humphrey Bogart who brought Captain Queeg to life in ‘The Caine Mutiny.’
It took a cast of thousands to turn Wouk’s two novels ‘The Winds of War’ and ‘War and Remembrance into a highly successful mini-series.
His books were so sweeping in scope and so richly detailed, that one critic called them ‘America’s version of war and peace.’
Herman Wouk was 103 years-old.
