Biden to Sign “Made in America” Executive Order
President Biden is expected to sign an executive order on Monday towards “ensuring the future of America is made in America.”
Known as the “Made in America Executive Order,” the plan is for federal agencies to prioritize spending government contracts with domestic agencies first.
While current law prefers American firms, the Biden Administration claims that has not always happened consistently or effectively.
A new senior leader position will be established in the Office of Management and Budget to oversee the implementation of American bought goods.
Each year the government spends nearly 600 billion dollars in federal spending.
