A stunning story of survival…
An Australian hiker crawled for two days with a broken leg until being rescued, according to Seven Network.
Neil Parker, an experienced ‘bushwalker’ had fallen down a waterfall and gone missing since Sunday.
He was rescued Tuesday by Queensland Government Air Rescue in the area of Mount Nebo, North of Brisbane.
Parker was flown to a hospital and is recovering.
“I knew where I was located there was no way they were going to be able to find me,” Parker recounted from a hospital bed. “I chose to go back to the juncture where I had my first break because at that junction point there is a track across the bottom the locals use for exercise so I figured I’d got more chance of getting found if I can make my way back to there. But that was two days of lifting my leg. I had a bandage on my elbow so I could use my elbow and scrambling, lifting, inch by inch.”
