California Governor Gavin Newsom has sent a group of disaster specialists to Puerto Rico after earthquakes hit the island last week.
Newsom announced the plan Saturday after a 5.9 earthquake shook the island.
The U.S territory already suffering from damage and power outages.
The 35 specialists are from a variety of different fields including incident and emergency management and crisis counseling.

The U.S. Geological Survey reports there’s a 12 percent chance of an aftershock of 6.0 magnitude or higher.
