The New England Patriots have reportedly reached a deal with Cam Newton.
Sources say the contract is worth up to $7.5 million dollars with incentives. Newton was the first overall pick by the Carolina Panthers in the 2011 NFL Draft after leading auburn to a National Championship and winning the Heisman Trophy. He helped the Panthers reach the playoffs four times, including the Super Bowl in 2015. But the 3-time Pro Bowl QB, was banged up all of last season, he played only two games before being placed on injured reserve with a foot injury. In his career, he has passed for more than 29,000 yards and 180 touchdowns. He has also run for more than 4,800 yards.
