David Stern will be inducted into Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame

Former NBA Commissioner, the late David Stern will be posthumously inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame next year in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Stern played a huge role in helping to launch the WNBA in 1997. Val Ackerman, who was the first president of the WNBA says, “He brilliantly married women’s basketball with NBA capabilities, a sound business plan and a marketer’s touch, and his vision produced a league that remains a beacon for women in the sports world.
The class also includes three former WNBA stars Tamika Catchings, Swin Cash and Lauren Jackson.
