The next chapter in the legal battle over the affordable care act will play out this summer.
A federal appeals court in New Orleans will hear oral arguments in the case sometime in early July.
The move comes after a lower court judge in Texas struck down the entire law in December.
He ruled the individual mandate in the healthcare act is unconstitutional.
But a coalition of 17 democratic attorneys general later filed an appeal, which sent the case to the 5th Circuit Court.
But no matter what the appeals court’s decision is, the case is still expected to end up at the Supreme Court.
