Colorado Rockies outfielder Ian Desmond will not be back next season.
He’s deciding to opt out again. Desmond says on his Instagram account that desire to be with my family is greater than going back to play baseball under these circumstances. However, The 2-time All-Star says he’s going to train, see how things unfold, leaving the door open for a possible return. The outfielder is in the final year of a five-year, $70 million deal he signed in December of 2016.
