There is some bad news for team USA at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup, they will be without small forward Jayson Tatum for the next couple of games.
The Boston Celtics small forward will not play the next two games due a left ankle sprain. In the United States thrilling overtime victory over Turkey, Tatum injured his left ankle during the game. It happened at the end of the overtime, Tatum was leading a fast break, but his left ankle was stepped on. Tatum will not play against Japan on Thursday in the last game of group phase or in the Americans’ first second-round game on Saturday. He will be re-evaluated on Monday.
