Golden State Warriors star Forward Kevin Durant says he did rupture an achilles tendon during their game 5 NBA finals win against the Toronto Raptors. Durant also says he underwent surgery.
On Instagram, Durant says the surgery was a success. He also says he wanted to play game 5, and help the Dubs three-peat. He added it’s just the way things go in this game and he’s proud that he gave it his all. Durant injured his right achilles in the second quarter. That was his first game since he injured his right calf on May 8th against the Houston Rockets in game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals.
