A man is in custody after allegedly stabbing two in Sydney’s central business district.
Witnesses say the blood-spattered man, armed with a knife, ran through the streets shouting “Allahu akbar.”
One woman was found stabbed inside a hotel room.
She was taken to the hospital, where she is reported in stable condition.
Sydney police now say another woman was found dead near the scene and that it’s connected to the knife attack.
Bystanders managed to pin the man to the ground with a chair and a milk crate until police arrived on the scene.
Investigators say them man does have some ideologies related to terrorist groups but acted alone.
