Man pulls out gun after Antifa members throw paint on his truck, smash his windows
At least three people were arrested after members of Antifa stormed the Oregon state capitol and damaged vehicles over the weekend prompting police to declare an unlawful assembly.
According to police – there were more than 200 “heavily armed” rioters who arrived at the capitol to launch a counter protest against a conservative event that was scheduled on Sunday.
Chaos erupted and police say vehicles that were driving by the capitol were hit with balloons filled with paint, green lasers were pointed at drivers passing by, and car windows were even smashed out.
Officials say the Antifa rioters came to the pre-planned riot carrying guns, bats, shields and gas masks.
At one point as the Antifa rioters attacked a truck that was driving by. The rioters threw paint at his truck, and allegedly smashed his windows. The driver got out and pointed a gun at the rioters.
The man was detained by police while Antifa members stood by mocking the police for not shooting the man. According to local media the man was not booked into the local jail.
Oregon state police and the Salem police department moved the rioters away from the capitol and warned local residents to stay away from the area – as they expected an increased risk of violence.
