Crowds gathered in Tirana, Albania saturday for demonstrations organized by Albania’s opposition.
People in the crowds were tear gassed by Tirana police and protesters were seen throwing molotov cocktails at law enforcement, according to local reports.
Other areas around the office of prime minister Edi Rama were also reportedly set on fire.
Thousands of protesters from all over Albania participated in Saturday’s protests.
The opposition has refused to participate in the upcoming June elections, which they say are corrupt.
They have instead requested snap elections and a removal of the current government.
