Patrick Mahomes Jr. is in NFL Concussion Protocol
Posted On January 19, 2021

There might be a chance that Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes Jr. will not play in the AFC Championship at home against the Buffalo Bills.
That’s because right now, he’s in the league’s concussion protocol. Mahomes suffered a concussion in the third quarter of their 22-17 divisional-round win over the Cleveland Browns. He left the game and did not return. If Mahomes doesn’t start this Sunday, Chad Henne is expected to take his place again. Head coach Andy Reid declined to answer when Mahomes can be cleared.
