Back in May E! announced 4 time Emmy-nominated actress Laverne Cox as the new host of E!'s signature live red carpet award show specials
Though the plan was for her to begin in 2020 E! just couldn’t wait. Now Laverne Cox will begin her Red Carpet hosting duties of “Live from E!” at the 2021 People’s Choice Awards! The ceremony airs on NBC and E! simultaneously on Dec. 7 check your local listings for details.


The film adaptation of “tick, tick…BOOM!” the autobiographical musical by Jonathan Larson, the creator of the hit musical Rent is also the feature directorial debut for Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda - at the NYC premier he shared this:

Lin-Manuel Miranda:
“Jonathan Larson is the reason I started writing musicals. His show is what showed me it was possible and he should be here enjoying all of this, he should be on his 10th musical and he's not. And so, you know, I wanted to bring the musical that really strengthened my resolve to get into this business to the screen and hopefully it's gonna hit other artists where they live cause it hit me really hard when I saw it.”


Academy Award nominee and Tony Award winner Andrew Garfield stars as a young theater composer working in a New York City diner while writing what he hopes will be the next great American musical.

Andrew Garfield:
“I think it's really the most vulnerable I've ever been in any projects I've ever done because it feels so personal. It feels like it's it's not me, but it's definitely deeply vulnerable aspects of me that happened to link up with Jonathan. The other thing is, they're all phenomenal actors, phenomenal singers, like they are thoroughbred performers. So I was surrounded by the best of the best. I was jumped into the best musical theater crew I could ever hope for.”
