Central Michigan's New Women's Lacrosse Head Coach
The Central Michigan Women's Lacrosse program has come along very fast, the Chippewas are coming off their best season, reaching the NCAA tournament. Now, they are turning to a new woman to lead them into a national contender.
Central Michigan has named Emilia Ward as the new head coach. She is replacing Sara Tisdale, who recently stepped down. Ward has 13 years of coaching experience including assistant gigs at Michigan and Marquette over the past three seasons. She was also the first head coach at Northern Michigan from 2015-2019. CMU made it to the first round, before losing to Northwestern last season. Ward says her goal is to make Central Michigan Women's Lacrosse a national name.
