With the announcement televised impeachment hearings are set to begin next week…
We’re learning Attorney General William Barr refused to hold a press conference clearing the president of any wrongdoing regarding his conversation with Ukraine’s leader.
That’s according to the Washington Post.
The paper reports Trump asked Barr to hold the news conference around September 25th, the same time the transcript of the call between Trump and Ukraine’s president was released.
Even though Barr did not hold the news conference, the DOJ still gave the president nearly everything he wanted.
The department publicly announced that criminal division prosecutors found no wrongdoing by the president.
It also released a memo stating the intelligence community’s inspector general did not have to turn over a whistleblower complaint to congress.
Meanwhile, during a Wednesday rally, the president warned of a recession if the democrats manage to take back the White House.
“Make no mistake, if the democrats get back in, you will have a depression, the likes of which you’ve never seen before, and you are doing well, how are your 401ks doing, by the way?”
