The announcement was made Thursday morning from N.B.A. officials in China.
There’s been major fallout from a tweet by the manager of the Houston Rockets.
Daryl Morey last week expressed support for pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong.
Since then, all of the N.B.A.’s eleven partners in China have cut ties with the league.
Two “NBA Cares fan events” were canceled in Shanghai in the last week.
And Chinese State TV announced it will not carry Thursday’s game on TV.
