World Leaders Comment on U.S. Capitol Incident

WASHINGTON
Foreign leaders are chiming in on the violent incident at the US Capitol Building.
Many like UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson calling the scenes in congress “disgraceful,”or “distressing.”
The Associated Press Confirms that China was one of the few countries blaming the mainstream media for villainizing the protestors. Hua Chunying, Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson said the U.S. incident was similar to how media is treating Hong Kong protestors.
German President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier said, “The peaceful change of power as a result of free elections is a foundation stone of democracy. An armed mob, spurred on by a sitting president who disregards this foundation stone, stormed the U.S. Congress yesterday.”
Franch President Macron commented, “What happened today in Washington DC is not America. Definitely. We believe in the strength of our democracies. We believe in the strength of our democracy. We believe in the strength of American democracy.”
