Zion Williamson Allegedly Received Improper Benefits
There are reports of serious allegations against New Orleans Pelicans star rookie Zion Williamson. The former marketing agent of Williamson, Gina Ford, who’s an agent with Prime Sports Marketing, filed a lawsuit saying that Williamson received improper benefits from several sources, including Nike and Adidas to attend Duke.
According to court papers published by Wallach Legal, LLC founder Daniel Wallach, Williamson was served with requests for admission that he received illegal benefits to play for the blue devils, and wear or use Nike or choose a school sponsored by Adidas. In the court papers, Wallach listed the requests for Williamson to admit. Some of the requests included that Williamson knew his mother, Sharonda Sampson, and stepfather, Lee Anderson demanded and received gifts, money and/or other benefits. 247 Sports says Williamson signed a contract with Prime Sports in April of 2019. The deal was supposed to last five years. However a month later, Williamson’s family told Prime Sports they are ending the contract. In June of 2019, ford filed a lawsuit against Williamson for $100 million dollars for breach of contract.
